What is an 'INBOX', 'OUTBOX', 'SENT ITEMS BOX'
"INBOX"
is the folder that all your incoming email goes to. When you receive new email you can find it in there. Your email stays in this box until you either delete it, or move it to another folder.
An
"OUTBOX"
is the folder that emails go to right after you hit the send button. They stay in this box until they are ready to leave your computer and reach their destination. The length of time this takes depends on may factor. A few are if you are currently on-line or not, how fast of a connection you have, and in the
OPTIONS
, what length of time you have set to
SEND/RECEIVE

"SENT ITEMS BOX"
is the folder where email messages which have been sent using Outlook Express are stored. You can go back and check this box for email that you have sent.
